How the tiers work
This Hearthstone Battlegrounds tier list ranks every hero by their expected performance in a standard Season 13 lobby. Ratings are based on hero power economy generation, tempo, late-game scaling, flexibility across tribe compositions, and how consistently each hero can reach a top-4 finish. Heroes are not rated for a single best-case scenario — we weight average-lobby performance over niche high rolls.
STop Tier
Dominant hero powers that generate consistent value, scale hard into the late game, or provide flexibility other heroes can struggle to match. Generally speaking, heroes which provide consistent economy are highly valued, as you can use this advantage in any lobby.
AStrong
Reliable heroes with powerful hero powers. Slightly more situational than S-tier (Trade Prince Gallywix for example) but still excellent picks. May typically provide thinner economy (Patches, Galewing), but still strong in the right lobby.
BSolid
Competent heroes that perform well in the right lobby or when played to their strengths. Can still provide good economy but sometimes their armor value makes it more difficult (Snake Eyes for example).
CAverage
Heroes that require a specific tribe composition or a particular early game to reach their potential. Higher variance, but capable of top-4 in the right conditions.
DWeak
Heroes that struggle to keep pace with the current Season 13 meta. Their hero powers are either too slow (Rakanishu), or too difficult to leverage for consistent results (Artanis).
