Season 12 Build Showcase: AOE Damage Demons

One of Battlegrounds' most satisfying archetypes: a demon comp that permanently stacks attack buffs and threatens the entire enemy board with AOE damage.

Overview

The AOE Damage Demon comp is one of the most satisfying builds to pilot — a comp that distributes AOE damage across enemy boards while simultaneously buffing your own minions.

Key Cards

Lord of the Ruins

The engine of the build. Each time a friendly demon deals damage, Lord of the Ruins gives friendly minions +2/+1. This is an in-combat buff though, so not permanent. Which is why Tarecgosa offers great synergy.

Silent Enforcer

Silent Enforcer is the key to getting bigger buffs since it attacks all enemy minions with it's AOE deathrattle. Pair with Titus Rivendare for full effect.

Devout Hellcaller

Hellcaller gains permanent stats (+1/+2) every time a friendly demon deals damage - which, given Silent Enforcer's deathrattle - is a lot.

Tarecgosa

Can be considered optional, but if dragons are in the lobby, Tarecgosa is a perfect fit. Whilst your buffs from Lord of the Ruins aren't permanent normally - on Tarecgosa they are.

Lobby Conditions

  • Beasts in lobby — Strongly recommended. Getting extra procs on your Silent Enforcers via Monstrous Macaw significantly increases your board's damage output and buff generation.
  • Dragons in lobby — Helpful, gives you access to permanent buffs on Tarecgosa.
  • Neither — Still viable; lower ceiling and less consistent but still viable.

Hero Recommendations

  • Teron Gorefiend — Extra deathrattle procs by targetting Silent Enforcers.
  • The Lich King — Grants Reborn to Silent Enforcers.
  • The Great Akazamzarak - Allows you to copy Silent Enforcer with Pack Tactics secret.
